My wife and I took the current edition of this book on a 4 week tent camping trip in Baja. It was indispensable. It covered great camp sites my wife remembered from a previous trip she did and helped us find new sites where we needed them. The driving distance and time between some cities helped. Sites and their locations are well described. You won’t find a better book on the subject.
I'm driving down to Cabo San Lucas in my RV and this book has been a wonderful companion for me. The Churches have made this trip so much easier. I walked into the bar at Don Eddie"s Landing and there sat a nice man from Redding Ca. studying this book. We had a long three or was it four margarita visit. Thank you Churches.
Excellent information even for people who just want to go to Baja without camping. Includes what is needed in the way of insurance and paperwork. Best places to cross. Where to obtain pesos. Info on travel sites that specialize in Baja trips, campgrounds and rough campsites. This book will be riding shotgun when I go to Baja in 2018.

We just came back 4 days ago from our RV trip to Cabo San Lucas and this book was extremely important, it helped us find camping sites, it has maps (The gps would have no service & we relied on the book). Important advice and up to date information. We highly recommend it if you are planning to take a trip to Baja!
This is not what I'd hoped, and mostly focused on commercial campgrounds for RVers. I was hoping for something that might identify the endless places off the road, along the beach, were great camping existed for free.
Although this book is definitely oriented toward RV camping, it is extremely thorough and detailed with much better information about Baja campgrounds than is included in general travel guides. We tent camped in Baja for two weeks and used this book extensively, and we were never disappointed with the quality of the information. The authors very helpfully give a bit of the flavor/atmosphere of each campground, and include other very useful information about gas stations, side trips, nearby attractions, etc. I would definitely purchase another guidebook in this series!
A must have if you are traveling Baja.
