Meanwhile, Edison and his DC backers said that AC could easily electrocute people. Edison believed this risk would sway public opinion toward DC power. The battle over which system would become standard became known as the War of the Currents. This exciting book tells the story of that war, the people who fought it, and the ways in which both kinds of electric power changed the world.

This book is very short and concise and is written for 6th grade level. It is about 60 pages long and well illustrated. I also read Empires of Light and it tells much the same story in detail with adequate illustrations.
I wish it were a longer book. Great story about two wonderful minds with a silly difference that was beneather them both
